We wrote back in August a blog post Jade's wedding dress journey with us to have a custom made wedding dress.
Jade had a clear idea for her wedding dress, she loved the Kim Kardashian wedding dress she wore for wedding to Kanye West. She loved the shape of the dress so we used this as the basis to design Jade's wedding dress. We altered the neckline and added a gusset detail to the front of her wedding dress.
Jade's wedding dress had a lot of work her design had to be created in a 3D form in a calico toile. This was perfected during her wedding dress fittings, in our bridal studio in Acton West London. The fabric for her wedding dress was sourced during this period. Jade wanted something unique so we explored lace fabrics at first. Jade did not find the one so we went on to explore embroideries.
Jade went with a ivory embroidery which we sourced for her. Jade opted for a more structured silhouette which we went with a silk Mikado fabric for the base of her wedding dress. Jade's wedding dress had a layer of tulle which we mounted the embroidery unto. Which was individually cut and hand attached to her wedding dress.
I forgot to mention Jade had the longest train ever!! This was truly a journey I will not forget!! At the end I realised why I love my job so much as a wedding dress designer. Having the ability to make dreams come true. As you will all agree Jade's dress was absolutely stunning!! I will never forget the look on her face when she put on her wedding dress at her final fitting!!
The embroidery as previously mentioned in our blog post was hand applied which took days to do!!
Backless detail on Jade's wedding dress we used flesh tone tulle to achieve this look
