Jo & Mo Civil wedding

At Kate Edmondson Bridal, we take immense pride in bringing our brides’ visions to life, creating timeless, handcrafted pieces that perfectly capture their personality and wedding aesthetic. Our recent commission for our lovely client Jessica was a true delight—a bespoke, 50s-inspired vintage-style dress designed for her intimate civil ceremony at the historic Marylebone Old Town Hall.

Jessica’s dream was to wear a dress that exuded classic elegance with a touch of retro glamour. Inspired by the timeless silhouettes of the 1950s, we crafted a stunning off-the-shoulder midi dress that combined vintage charm with contemporary sophistication. The design featured a beautifully structured bodice that accentuated Jessica’s figure while providing a graceful, romantic look. The off-the-shoulder neckline added a hint of femininity, highlighting the delicate curve of her shoulders and adding a vintage Hollywood feel.

Marylebone Old Town Hall, with its rich history and iconic architecture, provided the perfect backdrop for Jessica’s intimate wedding. The grandeur of the venue, combined with the timeless elegance of her dress, created a stunning harmony between tradition and modern romance. As she walked down the aisle, Jessica’s vintage-inspired look captured the essence of a bygone era while still feeling effortlessly contemporary.

The beauty of this design was its versatility. Jessica’s wedding celebrations didn’t end at Marylebone Old Town Hall; she had also planned a fabulous evening reception at the enchanting Beaumont Hall in St Albans. For this special occasion, she opted to wear her civil ceremony dress as her second bridal look. The midi length of the dress made it the perfect choice for a seamless transition from day to night, allowing her to move and dance with ease while still exuding bridal elegance.
